Up close you can see the “trainer wheel” fret markers inlaid into the ebony. They are my old favourite fingerboard wood Wandoo and they will turn black and disappear with time.

The River Banksia body wings have very strong medullary rays which are prominent when the wood is quartersawn. River Banksia is one of the least dense woods found in Western Australia. It is very strong and stable.
