This cutaway stage 100 in Blackwood and European spruce was custom built for a fingerstyle player for slack key use. It is built for light strings to the client’s requirements. This combination of woods gives a shimmering sound loaded with high harmonics at the same time providing a rich bass response for Hawaiian slack key playing. You can hear a little of what it sounds like by clicking on the photo. It was recorded with a concert sized uke which was finished about the same time.
