MODEL 2

The same width as model 1 ( 13 3/4"), this is the older-style 12 fret version. Ideal for fingerstyle playing, especially blues and Celtic styles not not requiring higher fret access, although a cutaway version is available. The fingerboard and string spacing are generally made wider, like the old American instruments of the 1920s. Slotted head and usually short 630mm scale.

This picture shows a cutaway version built in “Bearclaw” Alaskan Spruce and fine Indian Rosewood. To see the bearclaw figure and the 12th fret dolphin inlays in more detail click here.It may take a while to load.

The owner of this guitar likes to sit crosslegged on the floor to play and finds the narrow body width a real advantage.
