Almost all of my instruments are built for a particular client’s needs and wishes. Wood choices, cutaways, scale lengths, fingerboard widths, fret heights, inlays, pickups,cases and many more things can be talked over. Since I’m building one at a time I can easily incorporate different options. My current waiting time for delivery is 9 - 12 months. I have a great selection of well-seasoned woods. The woods alone enable a huge range of possible choices for an instrument’s design.
Some instruments, such as classical guitars, violins and certain mandolins are generally built in the time-honoured traditional woods. In Australia we have some quite fantastic woods, some of which I have pioneered for instrument making. I have found some to the absolute best for some uses.
