This Model 4 was built for a man who plays very lightly in mainly low positions.
The medium grained Alaskan spruce top is quite stiff across the grain. Combined with the choice Indian Rosewood back and sides this guitar gives a full, rich sound on light strings played softly. The short 630 mm scale keeps the tension down as well.
The dark rosewood binding and ebony fingerboard and bridge give a fairly conservative appeareance which is enhanced by the snowflake fingerboard inlays and engraved Van Gent deluxe tuners.
