STUDIO JUMBO GUITARS

The Studio Jumbo is a larger version of my model 3 . Like the model 3 it is a very versatile guitar. Slightly wider than Model D, it shares some of the characteristics of the Stage 200 Jumbo, having a big, balanced sound for recording. We usually build this with a 640mm scale length, which makes it respond well for fingerpicking as well as flatpicking. A whole lot of guitar.

The Studio Jumbo pictured has an Engelmann Spruce top with rare Western australian Gimlet back and sides. Gimlet is extremely hard and heavy, and grows in the outback goldfields region of Western Australia. It gives this guitar enormous projection and brightness. Englemann spruce was chosen to warm up the sound and to mellow with age. To see detailed pictures click here. They may take a while to load.
